Well, who would have known that “someday” might not be just another day swinging by the alley without calling my name? Love laughed at me as I kept breaking those big promises I made to myself. NO MORE ATTACHMENTS AND STUFFS. By now I was convinced, I am a noob at staying indifferent. And then my phone buzzed.
“Hi, ma’am, could you send me the location please?” Madhav texted.
I stared at it for 5 minutes, typed the text on my notepad, making sure I make no mistake. Yeah, that kind of a fool.
“Yeah, sending the location, please come an hour before the event starts.”
“I can come now too if you want, it takes a bit of time to set everything, so”
DID HE JUST FLIRT? My mind blushed a bit, and then I realized, I am absolutely thinking everything way too much. Now the fact that I have never seen Madhav’s face made me curious. So I saved his number. And there he was, a picture in monochrome showing half his face with a camera in his hand.
“Um no, just an hour before will be fine.”
Quite disappointed, I wanted to see his eyes but his picture was playing the shadow. So then, I typed his name on Instagram, and boom, a private profile, of course. I didn’t bother checking his Facebook anymore, I was running late. I had to straighten my hair, it was my first event as an organizer, and my best friends were coming. The excitement was real, for the event. And for Madhav.
My co-manager reached and we decided to visit the venue after having lunch. So we did, had our food, got our deets, and the planning seemed on track. I wore a beige blazer paired with formal heels. I rarely tipped on my shoes until,
“I reached”. Oh No!
